A Warm Embrace for Our Fellow Man
God has called us “to love one another,” and this is exactly what the volunteers of the Hellenic Christian Church’s ministry, “Nest of Hope,” put into practice. This ministry is an open embrace for the poor, rejected, and sick individuals. Within our Church, they can find a warm meal, take a shower, wash their clothes, and receive whatever they need.
At the same time, they find the hope and love they need in the person of Jesus, as the volunteers teach them the Word of God. The source of inspiration for the team members comes from the verses in the Gospel of Matthew 25:31-36, which describe the attitude God wants us to have toward our fellow humans in need. It’s an attitude that moves beyond words to the heart of the problem and into action!
